OceanBrowser is an elearning company which aims to provide a best overall solution for distance medical educators and students. Our clients are typically medical institutions or companies involved in delivering elearning courses with global reach.
Our software product, OceanBrowser (PC/OSX Mac), allows secure delivery of medical learning programmes to environments where internet access may be sporadic. The blended online/offline delivery model we use also benefits users where broadband is available but restricted - such as is typically found in hospital and military settings. Our focus is to provide a best overall solution, utlizing a mixture of open source, customized, and proprietary software. We make extensive use of internet and web-based platforms for delivery of other services, such as discussion forums, synchronous collaboration and course development systems, and communications, particularly through our VoIP network.

Distance medical education often involves drawing on global expertise, with staff and students drawn from different countries and time zones. A mix of synchronous and asynchronous tools are required to support learners, and provide the range of social and educational exchanges which help to motivate and retain students who are often studying in isolation from their peers.
In addition to our OceanBrowser product, we offer (and support) a number of open source educational software applications and web services for our clients, either hosted on our OceanBrowser.com website, or on your own servers. We have particular expertise in voice over internet (VoIP) to assist distance learning.
